Research Assistant II

Research Assistant II in the Department of Clinical Oncology (Ref.: 526589) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary basis or two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should at least possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biological/Biochemical Science or a related discipline, with relevant experience in animal experiments, tissue/cell culture and molecular biology techniques such as molecular cloning, PCR, western blot, and virus transduction. The appointee will work in Professor Xin-Yuan Guan's lab, and handle clinical specimens such as blood samples, perform surgical procedures in mice, do experiments like flow cytometry and immunohistochemistry, maintain good documentation of data, contribute to routine laboratory running, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed term will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary.
