Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Cybersecurity
    1. Own the cybersecurity roadmap within CoDE and drive the adoption of sound information security practices across all CoDE projects.
    2. Collaborate with industry partners to conduct applied research in cybersecurity related technologies.
  • Virtual Learning
    1. Work closely with the development team of the UniverSITy engine, in collaboration with DigiPen, whilst exploring other possible commercial solutions/partnerships to ensure the success of virtual learning
    2. Develop and manage Virtual Learning use cases for the academic clusters.
    3. Conduct workshops and roadshows with the aim of enabling faculty and students to utilize emerging technologies.
    4. Propose and execute various technology pilots for DLS.
  • AI
    1. Build and manage a data repository for training AI systems, leveraging the Heterogenous Info-store for Teaching & Skilling (HITS) as well as other data sources.
    2. Assist in the development of a pilot programme for an AI Tutor.
    3. Research, plan and manage the integration of AI with other technologies, such as AR/VR/XR, blockchain, and cybersecurity, in order to develop novel solutions for DLS.
  • Teaching & Student Mentorship
    1. Develop and deliver digital skills literacy related courses or workshops to undergraduate students and staff. This includes development of learning contents and activities, providing consultations on digital skills/technology related queries, and assessment and grading of students’ work.
    2. Mentor and facilitate student learning by participating in and managing student projects.
  • Any other matters as directed by Director/Deputy Director of CoDE.

Job Requirements

  • A good degree in Computer Science or a related field. Masters, PhD and/or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
  • 5+ years of working experience in software development.
  • Proven experience in developing and deploying enterprise software solutions.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, etc.
  • Competent in the following technologies: cybersecurity, AI/ML, blockchain.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Keen interest in innovation projects, with demonstrated ability in developing solutions to technical problems.
  • Possess strong supervisory and project management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently, as well as within a team, to ensure that the project can meet the milestones adhering to the stipulated timeline.
  • Enjoy working closely with students in an educational environment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency to keep abreast of development in the field and pursue professional certification programs.
