Senior Research Assistant

Senior Research Assistant in the Division of Public Health Laboratory Sciences of the School of Public Health (Ref.:526530) (to commence as soon as possible on a one-year temporary term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Science with 3 years' relevant laboratory work experience. They should have a good command of spoken English and excellent English writing skills; the ability to communicate in Putonghua; good computer knowledge including Chinese typing; good organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; and the ability to work well in a team. Experience in genomic sequencing would be an advantage.

The appointee will assist in projects related to genomic sequencing. He/She will train staff and students in next generation sequencing techniques. He/She will also provide research support to the research team, communicate with various laboratories based in China, and undertake any other duties as assigned.
