Job Description:

Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I/II) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 526494) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree, with at least 3 years’ work experience, preferably in tertiary institutions. They should have a good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua), effective communication and organisational skills, as well as an appropriate level of IT skills. They should also be self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude, able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure to meet tight deadlines, attentive to details, able to prioritise multiple tasks efficiently, and with demonstrated competence in discharging complex clerical duties. Those with less experience will be considered for appointment as Executive Assistant.

The appointees will be assigned to assist in a wide range of clerical/administrative work in relation to finance management and research grant administration; and perform clerical/secretarial duties in daily office operation as well as ad hoc/non-routine tasks as required. Work outside normal office hours may be required occasionally. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
