Senior Technical Officer

Senior Technical Officer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Ref.: 526421) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biochemical/Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and sound I.T. knowledge in using MS office and MS Team. They should also be supportive and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to serve academic staff in teaching and research. Preference will be given to those with first aid qualifications and experience in similar industries/organizations and laboratory safety.

The appointee will be assigned to support research areas related to Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Biomedical Engineering/Biochemistry and Environmental Engineering. He/She may also be required to work outside normal office hours in rare occasions. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
