Job Description:

Senior Executive Assistant (at the rank of Clerk I) in the Centre of Cancer Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526403) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Centre of Cancer Medicine is a platform to facilitate the academic development of cancer medicine and oncology, created to foster collaboration among the cognate disciplines/(sub)specialities within the Centre of Cancer Medicine/ School of Clinical Medicine, and with other Schools/ Departments/ Institutes/ Hospitals/ Colleges.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in a tertiary institution. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; a strong sense of responsibility; and the ability to work independently with initiative and flexibility and to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently to meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision. They should be attentive to details and self-motivated. Proficiency in PC and application software (including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) would be essential.

The appointee will provide administrative and clerical support to the undergraduate teaching activities, including but not limited to timetabling, venue scheduling and examination related matters, provide secretarial support to the clinical staff in the Centre and to assist in coordinating the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) research and clinical services of the Centre. He/She will also require to assist in general office administration, undertake specific or general clerical tasks and perform other duties as assigned. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
