Senior Research Assistant

Applications are invited for the appointment as Senior Research Assistant (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary term with the possibility of renewal)

The appointees will join Professor Terry Lum’s Social Capital research team to explore both the social and the societal resources for individuals of the elderly population, various youth groups and ethical diversities in the Chinese/Asian context. They will be responsible for data collection, focus groups, literature review, liaison with local NGOs, analysis of research data, and performing other duties as assigned.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Social Science with at least one year of full-time post-qualification research coordination experience. They should also have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), excellent organisational skills, experience conducting various quantitative and/or qualitative data analyses, and the ability to work independently and as a team.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
