Job Description:

Executive Assistant/Centre Assistant (at the rank of Clerk II/Clerical Assistant) in the Visitor Centre and Campus Store managed by the Academic Liaison Office of the Registry (Ref.: 526452) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, and with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should have 5 passes in HKCEE, including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, preferably with at least 1 year’s relevant work experience. They should also have a fair command of English and Chinese, including Putonghua; basic IT proficiency (MS Excel in particular); good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to multi-task; and be attentive to details and self-motivated. Those with less experience/qualifications will be appointed as Clerical Assistant.

The appointee will be responsible for daily operations of the HKU Visitor Centre and Campus Store, including souvenir sales, handling of online orders, maintaining sales records, receiving visitors and providing them with information about the University. Weekend shifts are required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a computer test and an interview.
