IT Officer / Senior IT Technician / Assistant Technical Manager / Senior Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Lab Manager) in the Centre for Information Technology in Education within the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 526416).
To commence asap on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, information system, or closely related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant working experience. Preference will be given to those who has experience of working with sandbox/makerspace/STEM learning labs in schools or community.

The appointee will work on the daily operation of a “Tech Sandbox” lab during the open hours, serve both the project participants and the university students/staff. He/she will be responsible in maintaining the lab operations, providing timely technical support in the setup/usage of the emerging technologies for learning, and managing the inventory and the maintenance of the learning tools in the lab. Before the usage for each teaching and learning activities, he/she will be responsible for checking and preparing the tools to ensure they are in good conditions and performance. He/she will also provide technical supports during the seminars and workshops held in the lab.
