Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Full-time Research Assistant I in the School of Public Health (Ref.:526336), to commence as soon as possible for one year on temporary term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.


Applicants should possess a Master's degree, preferably in biostatistics, epidemiology, bioinformatics, public health, or other related disciplines. They should have an excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese, good interpersonal, organizational and
communication skills, and a strong sense of responsibility. They should be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and able to work independently and as a team. Knowledge of Mendelian randomization, causal inference and quantitative skills is highly desirable. Experience in statistical analysis and proficiency in statistical software (e.g. R) would be an advantage.


The appointee will engage in research projects related to the epidemiology of noncommunicable diseases, focusing on drug target validation and repositioning. He/She will assist in data cleaning and analysis, literature review, publication and report preparation, and
