Job Description:

Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) (several posts) in the Faculty of Law (Ref.: 526242) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree or a Higher Diploma with 1-2 years’ relevant experience; OR possess 5 passes in HKCEE including English (min. Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007), Chinese (min. Grade C/Level 2 from 2007) and Mathematics, OR min. Level 3 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSEE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics, with at least 2 years’ relevant experience preferably in tertiary institutions or in the education sector. They must be a good team player; self-motivated with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; attentive to details; able to work independently and under pressure to meet tight deadlines and able to prioritise multi-tasks efficiently. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and IT proficiency skills including MS Word and MS Excel. Knowledge of Putonghua would be an advantage but not a must. Those with less experience and/or lower qualification may be appointed as Clerk II.

For post (A), the appointees will provide administrative and clerical support for the operation of academic programmes and handle student matters. He/She will also provide general administrative support to the Faculty office, including finance and human resources matters, Faculty events; and perform any other duties as assigned.

For post (B), the appointees will provide administrative and clerical support for the Dean’s office. He/She will provide administrative support to various Faculty Committees, assist in the coordination of human resources and other matters at Faculty level. He/She will also provide general administrative support to the Faculty office and Faculty events; and perform any other duties as assigned.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
