Job Description:

Senior Research Assistant (holding the functional title of Senior Project Assistant) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 526326) (to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Science, Statistics or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ working experience. Experience in coordinating research projects, data management, and research dissemination in the fields of community-based research, public health research or population sciences research is preferred. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as good interpersonal and organizational skills. They should also be responsible; attentive to details; and able to work independently. Experience in handling quantitative research with STATA or SPSS and/or qualitative research would be distinct advantages.

The appointee will work for the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project under the supervision of Professor Kelvin Wang, with the aim of promoting family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services. He/She will assist in research design, liaise with community parties and institutions; conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; assist in data collection and management; prepare reports; and perform other duties as assigned.
