Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the functional title of Project Manager) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 526329), to commence as soon as possible, on a one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with at least five years’ experience in community-based research, public health research or population sciences research. They should have experience in community health promotion; knowledge of the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in research; and excellent written and verbal communication skills. They should be able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team, and be competent to collaborate with external parties including academics, social service groups and politicians.

The appointee will work for the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project under the supervision of Professor Kelvin Wang, with the aim of promoting family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services. He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise research staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.
