Job Description:

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (multiple posts) in the Department of Computer Science (Ref.: 523032), to commence on July 1, 2024 or as soon as possible on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

The Department of Computer Science is known for its high-quality education and research. It offers programmes at both undergraduate and graduate levels. It provides a supportive research and teaching environment in which faculty members enjoy excellent computing resources and facilities. Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, with a strong commitment to research and teaching. A solid track record in research is essential. The positions are open to all research areas in Computer Science, with preference given to candidates in the areas of AI Security, IoT/AIoT Security, Digital Forensics, Data Privacy, Decentralized Data Analytics & Technologies, Data Science, Bioinformatics, FinTech, Metaverse, Computer Graphics, Computing & Big Data Systems, or Theoretical Computing.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
