Job Description:

Clerk I/II (holding the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant) (several posts) in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 525913) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills; as well as an appropriate level of IT skills. They should also be a good team player with self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Clerk II. Degree holders will be offered the functional title of Senior Executive Assistant/Executive Assistant.

The appointees will provide administrative support in one of the following areas:

  • Human resource and Finance: handling of personnel matters and processing of payments, purchase orders, invoices and reimbursements;
  • Knowledge Exchange and Global: assists in managing the school’s social media platforms; organizing marketing campaigns and events of the school;
  • Research and Innovation: processing of research grant applications and postgraduate admissions; organizing symposia, seminars and visits of visiting professors;
  • Teaching and Learning: co-ordination of timetabling of courses and examinations, organising academic activities and events; and perform any ad hoc and non-routine tasks as required.
