Job Description:

Research Assistant I/II (holding the functional title of Project Executive) in the Faculty of Education (Ref.: 524354) (to commence as soon as possible until August 31, 2024) (2 posts).

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Science, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Language or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ full-time work experience. Preference will be given to those with experience in educational projects; working with schools and teachers, promotion, and/or knowledge of media and communications (e.g. website/social media). They should have good communication and interpersonal skills, a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and the ability to complete multiple assignments concurrently while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines. They should also have the ability to work independently, as a team, under pressure, and multi-task; and advanced computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and Chinese word processing. Familiarity with article and story writing and liaison with public relation / media matter is an advantage.

The appointee will work on a large-scale project on learner diversity, being primarily engaged in project-related activities. He/She will be responsible for providing implemental assistance to the project team and the project manager; coordinating with and engaging different teams and school stakeholders in terms of project implementation and dissemination; ensuring consistent and effective communication of the project’s positioning; preparing promotional and dissemination events and materials, such as writing promotional articles and stories; managing project website / social media / newsletter platform; assisting in daily operations and performing other duties as assigned. The appointee will work collaboratively with other team members and external vendors. Immediate availability is preferred. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview and complete a short written task afterwards.
