Applications are invited for appointment as Executive Assistant (several posts) in the Department of Microbiology (Ref.: 502057), to commence in December 2020 for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The selected candidates will work in a company incorporated by The University of Hong Kong that was established to administer and support the University’s innovation endeavors.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years’ work experience. Those who have 5 passes including English, Chinese and Mathematics (min. Grade D/Level 3 from 2007) in HKCEE, or min. Level 2 or equivalent in 5 subjects in HKDSE including English Language, Chinese Language and Mathematics (min Level 3), with substantial experience and a track record of administrative experience in tertiary institutions may also be considered. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, an appropriate level of IT competence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. They should also be a good team player and self-motivated.

The appointees will provide administrative support to a wide range of functions including project planning and management, human resources, financial budgeting, research administration, space planning and utilization, and office management. He/She may also provide administrative support to events and functions, and perform ad-hoc projects as assigned. Working off-campus may be required. Working outside normal office hours may also be required occasionally.
