Job Description:

Multimedia Development Officer/Multimedia Development Assistant (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 501938) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should have a Diploma or above in Multimedia and Visual Communication or a related discipline, with at least 2 years’ professional work experience in multimedia production. They should have hands-on experience in shooting, using video editing software and hardware; and knowledge of Chroma key compositing and E-Learning to support the implementation of E-Learning initiatives, coordinate E-Learning support and facilitate the use of technology to support teaching activities. They are expected to have a strong background in multimedia development including storytelling, closed captioning and all stages of multimedia production; a good sense in developing high quality multimedia resources up to the required standards; the ability to manage workflows to meet tight timelines of multiple projects; and proficiency in English and strong communication skills with people of diverse background. Knowledge of storyboard design, color correction, audio engineering and sound design, Adobe After Effect and Photoshop, Final Cut Pro X and/or Adobe Premiere CC, latest multimedia technology (e.g. 360° video), knowledge management system and photography are required. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Multimedia Development Assistant (at the rank of IT Technician).

The appointee is expected to implement e-learning projects, including online courses, e-learning videos, etc.; be responsible for video production and post production; produce, shoot and edit footage according to scripts, storyboards or loose guidelines; handle a project from idea to completion and tell a visually compelling story with creative editing and sound; and implement and manage video production schedules.
