Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As the Academic Administration Assistant, your mission is to sprinkle some administrative magic at Te Kaupeka Ako | Faculty of Education! Joining forces with our amazing team, you'll dive into daily tasks with enthusiasm, making sure everything runs as smoothly as a well-choreographed dance.

You will provide high-quality administrative support to the Academic Administrator and the Associate Dean (Academic) and their direct reports. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative academic team, ensuring smooth and efficient administrative operations within the faculty.  You will also assist with a wide range of administrative tasks, including event coordination, meeting support, and document management, contributing to the success of academic operations.

 

Mōu | Who You Are
To be successful in this role you will have 1-2 years' experience in an administrative role, preferably within a large to medium organisation, along with:

  • proven experience in organising and supporting professional events
  • competency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • experience in online research and document management
  • excellent written and oral communication skills, with a professional presentation and the ability to engage effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders
  • strong eye for detail, with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in all tasks, including document preparation and data management
  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to anticipate needs, work independently, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
