Au Mahi | What You Will Do
The UC Business School is seeking to appoint a permanent full-time, suitably qualified Lecturer in Marketing (Teaching and Administration) to contribute to its reputation for excellence in the teaching, learning and delivery of business education, particularly in Marketing. The purpose of this role is to primarily support the delivery of postgraduate courses in Digital Marketing and other courses in our marketing programs (postgraduate and undergraduate). This role will have a particular focus on delivering high quality on-campus, hybrid and/or online Marketing programmes, with specific focus on digital marketing and digital marketing analytics within the UC Business School.

The role will be within the marketing discipline. Competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga is an advantage.

Specific duties for developing the online digital marketing course includes:

  • Develop comprehensive course materials in digital marketing analytics to be delivered at the postgraduate level.
  • Design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that engage and inspire students.
  • Support the delivery of other digital marketing courses at the postgraduate and undergraduate levels, primarily but not limited to digital marketing
  • Provide academic support and guidance to students, fostering a collaborative and interactive learning environment.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in digital marketing to ensure course materials are current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance the digital marketing curriculum and program offerings.

Mōu | Who You Are
You will have a PhD (or close to completion) related to digital marketing or related fields. Candidates with a Master's degree and substantial industry experience will also be considered. The ideal candidate will relate well to our vision of producing graduates who are biculturally competent and confident and have both the technical and business knowledge necessary to contribute to future social and economic wellbeing in New Zealand. As the successful appointee, you will display the following attributes:

  • Proven experience in developing and delivering courses in digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms commonly used in Digital Marketing (media planning tools, online analytic platforms etc).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex digital marketing concepts in an accessible manner.
  • Desired competency in te reo Māori me ōna tikanga.

This role sits within the Academic Staff, Associated Staff and Academic Support Staff Collective Agreement and the following salary scale applies:  

The salary range for this position is: Senior Tutor and Lecturer pay scale 1.01 $66,874 p.a. -3.02 $99,688 p.a.
