Job Description:

Clerk II (holding the functional title of Executive Assistant) in the Faculty of Arts (Ref.: 528822) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a recognized Bachelor’s degree, preferably with at least 1 year of administrative experience in tertiary institutions. Those with lower educational qualification but have a track record of administrative experience in tertiary institutions will also be considered. They are expected to have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua would be an advantage), good communication and organization skills, and an appropriate level of IT competency. They should have a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently in a team, and be able to handle multiple tasks with self-motivation and attentive to details. Those with a Bachelor’s degree would be offered the functional title of Executive Assistant.

The appointee will handle taught postgraduate student matters (such as admissions, registration, course enrolment and examination), provide administrative support to the general office, committees and events, liaise with departments, and perform other duties as assigned.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test and an interview.
