Part-time Lecturer (several posts) in Geography in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 528897)

We now invite applications for the appointment of several part-time Lecturers in the Department of Geography within the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Duties and Responsibilities

The appointees will be responsible for teaching courses in the Master of Science in Geospatial Data Science (MSc(GeoDS)) program.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in geography, remote sensing, geoinformatics, or a related discipline. Preference is given to those with teaching experience in tertiary institutions and/or post-qualification working experience in relevant professional or academic settings. Expertise in areas such as spatial statistics, web GIS, cloud computing for geospatial data analytics, big data analytics, and drones and data collection is highly desirable.

What We Offer

The appointments will be made on a temporary basis commencing from November 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, renewable subject to mutual agreement and good performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
