As an Automation Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing our communication automation efforts using out marketing automation platform, Eloqua. You will be responsible for the technical implementation, maintenance, and optimisation of the our platform, driving effective communication strategies and engagement with various internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Platform support: Engage and participate in the configuration of the automation platform to support university-wide communication initiatives, including email campaigns, lead scoring, and data integrations.
Collaboration: Work closely with automation communication specialists to understand their objectives and translate them into technical requirements within Eloqua.
Agency Liaison: Manage relationships with external agencies supporting our automation efforts.
Technical Solutions: Work with technical experts to deliver solutions to enhance operations and strategic objectives in a large, complex organization.
Operations:
System Performance: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure the platform operates effectively and efficiently, ensuring we fulfil all our privacy obligations.
Integration Management: Work with Digital Services to ensure that integrations between Automation and other systems (e.g., CRM, CMS) are supported, ensure data accuracy and seamless communication.
Training & Support: Provide training and support to internal Student Experience Centre staff on Automation functionalities, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in Eloqua and marketing automation, recommending enhancements and optimizations to maximize platform effectiveness.
Documentation: Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and customizations within Eloqua.
Relationship Management:
Collaborative Relationships: Establish and nurture collaborative relationships at all levels across the division to maximize opportunities for advancement and foster an engaging and productive culture.
University Leaders: Develop and maintain relationships with leaders throughout the University to ensure consistent service and enable communities of practice related to similar functions.
Stakeholder Communication: Ensure relationships are established and maintained with stakeholders (staff, students, customers, external partners, and organizations) requiring high-level communication and leadership skills.
Collaboration: Work closely service divisions, including our central marketing team to ensure a seamless student experience and alignment of services, strategies, and plans.
This is a full-time, 37.5 hours per week, on a permanent contract. The salary range for this role is $94,900 - $117,200 per annum depending on experience and qualifications.

Our suitable candidate will meet the requirements below:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, marketing, or related field.
- Basic proficiency in HTML or CSS for email template customization and landing page development.
- Strong understanding of communication automationconcepts, including lead management, segmentation, and campaign execution.
- 2+ years of experience working with Eloqua at an expert level.
- Proven experience in end-to-end testing of API integrations
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
