Position Overview

!! Calling all vet students, animal science students, and experienced horse handlers !!

We have opportunities to join our casual Equine Treatment Crew!

This involves working nights, and weekend/public holiday shifts, to help with emergencies or inpatient treatments. Shifts usually vary between the hours of 10pm till 8am and are on an “on call” basis. It is essential you have a full, current driver’s license.

Duties include:

• Safely holding patients for checks and procedures
• Monitoring patients
• Foal sitting
• Assisting with running lab samples under staff supervision
• Assisting with feeding and mucking out
• Assisting with performing treatments under staff supervision
• Assisting with tidying and cleaning equipment and rooms/barn
• Assisting with restocking cupboard
• Assisting with laundry
