Job Description:

Multimedia Development Officer (at the rank of IT Officer) in the Faculty of Social Sciences (Ref.: 515480) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year or three-year fixed-term basis, with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Film, Digital Communication, Media Studies or a related discipline, with at least 5 years’ relevant work experience. They should have good proficiency in video shooting and the use of video equipment (e.g. Prosumer camcorders and DSLR cameras). Those with experience in handling lighting and audio related equipment will have advantage. They should also have practical skills in video editing and video motion software such as Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro X, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. Good understanding of the full spectrum of video production from Pre-production, Production to Post-Production is a must.

The appointee is expected to coordinate and produce video and other multimedia production from a brief guideline, and to perform any other duties as assigned. Technical support and project management is also expected for the position. Shortlisted candidates may be required to provide a portfolio of their past multimedia work for consideration by the selection panel.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
